I found it very easy to celebrate a victory against a nation that once bowled a ball along the ground so their opponents
couldn't hit a boundary.Engles you have to understand an inferiority complex kicks in against us Poms when we win anything.
It's to do with all the countries we duffed up in our glorious history.
As I said before for a tiny country,we punch well above our weight.

I remember just after readmission SA took on Aus in Australia and Boon nicked the ball to second to Richardson who caught the ball where first slip would be. Boon stood and the umpire gave him not out. If you are going to ban everyone for not walking and making the unpire do his job you will have a different side everytime you go out to play. I am sure Broad has never been given out when not hitting the ball and caught behind or given out LBW when the ball was missing the stumps. Broad knew the Aussies had squandered their review and the umpire had to make the call. Had every right to stand. Gilchrist IMO is the only Aussie that would have walked in that situation.

Also, not one England International,Cricketer has been banned for CHEATING
Look at your own national side before throwing stones.
Cronje,Gibbs and Henry Williams all banned for some form of cheating..
Can't see Cooke taking a bribe or Trott throwing he's wicket or Anderson bowling no balls

It was a great match ... one didn't know from one hour to the next who would be on top. Even on the last day when Aus were 6 wickets down they started to sprint and very nearly managed to overtake England. Breathless stuff!

wow just seen the Broad dismissal. Bad sportsmanship he should have walked even though that umpire did not give him out. A thick outside edge flying to slip is different to Haddins faint inside edge to the keeper.

What is Broads favourite animal?

CnC watch it again, he edges to the keeper, it takes a big deflection of his gloves and flies to slip. But to be honest, that is irrelevant, an edge is an edge is an edge. Even the one you can hear in the top stand of The Wanderers from Smith's bat but somehow the umpire doesn't ;) As i said earlier, the "crime" can not be made worse simply because it is more obvious to the viewer.

Looking very much forward to Thursdays match. Yes the SA captain did himself no favours by not walking and i heard the edge from here. Biggest edge that I have seen is in the 1992 opening match of the World Cup when with the very first ball of the match Donald bowled to Marsh who edged it to 3rd slip and he just stood there. The Aussie ump gave not out. 2nd biggest edge at Trent Bridge when Donald had Atherton caught behind but the English umpire kept his finger in his pocket.

As I said before. Well done England. But why involve ex SA players like Hansie in this debate. He was a very special friend of mine and his family still is. He admitted his mistake. For faark sake. :X

OR,not trying to upset anyone and if I have I apologise.
I'm making the point that in general English cricketers are honest and I feel Broad is getting castigated for an umpires shite decision.
A lot of people admit their mistakes when they are caught.

The one thing I would like charged with DRS is if the decision remains "umpires call" you shouldn't lose the review as the decision would stand if given out or not out.

I don't disagree Shrek but would say that it is often forgotten that the system was brought in to eradicate "howlers" such as the not out decision for Broad. Clarke had wasted his reviews on "gambles". By doing what you suggest I can only see the number of reviews increasing and that to me is not good for the game, it is slow enough as it is. Therefore, if it was to be done, then I would reduce the number of reviews to one rather than the current two and really make them think whether or not they wish to take the risk. A "howler" is something they should be 100% sure about, not something they are hopeful about.
