The Ashes

Every test is sold out for the first 4 days and at around £70 a ticket per day, its no wonder that the ECB finds itself in a very healthy state of affairs.

Should be a close series as the Aussies wont buckle against England and hopefully the weather plays its part.

The traditions and history is great...pity these teams are not very good at the test stuff.

Cant see this being close at all. Aussie will struggle to take 20 wickets unless conditions are extremely one-sided. England to win the series by a country mile. By far the worst Aussie team since pre-rinderpest days.

i reckon the aussies will win this series with ease because the english are too confident and imo the english are a useless bunch who were just as confident last year against rsa but failed to deliver.aussies have decent fast bowlers who are young and hungry and if i recall it was our fast bowlers who beat them,so if aussie batsman can put enough runs on the board they should beat this english mob with ease.thats my opinion and like ive said b4 i really dont rate this english team as being world beaters.they hv 2 or 3 class players at best and the rest are just also rans.lol

::o lol Winzip, you must be talking to some real English idiots

Throw all the eggs you want after the event but as a cricket fan I will be amazed if England don't retain the Ashes again comfortably, they are the far superior team. They were disappointing against SA but are imo a fair bit off SA who are a class apart just now.... same as Anderson against Steyn... one is a very fine bowler and the other is world class.

Again as a cricket fan I would recommend bets on no less than 3-1, with 3,4,5 to zip the better bets imho but I have no idea what the odds are and the weather is always a concern.

As an England fan... do 5-0 (you can call me the English version of Glenn McGrath - in confidence terms! - if you want lol)

And did those dreams...
C-oooooooo-me on The Land!!!!

For a very small country,we do seem to attract a lot of opinions...
"No one likes us,no one likes us but we don't care, we are England, mighty England"

Have just done 5-0, best odds a "boosted up" 16/1, which makes them not that much bigger than the 11/1 I got on the other certainty I did today, Ebro (:P)

I thought the price a bit skinny, probably due to patriotism etc. and thought I might get a bigger price with a foreign bookies... so I checked out Hollywood... 10/1 ::o and that makes them more likely to win 5-0 than Ebro was to win the last ::o >:D<

You must be kidding so now they appoint Mr Lehman and they say he is a fun guy and that will bring the Aussies together cause Mr Arthur had lost control ! I don't give a Shite this Aussie team is not worth feeding and while I'm not a fan of either side I hope the Poms give them a hiding . Even the weather won't save them. If they really want some help I will offer my services to those that want to drink or box !! I think Hoff and Symo can help
