What are the odds for the runners in the RTR race on 23rd November?
Which of the favourites were buy backs?
Red Ray was.
Also Captain America.
Antonius du Bois too.
Seems difficult for a genuine buyer to get a good'un.

These should be close to the top 4 at the Klawervlei Cape RTR:

Red Ray Jooste R700k at Book 1 and Jooste R800k RTR

Antonius Du Bois Kotzen R50k NYS and Kotzen R200k RTR

Captains Reserve Marshall Book 1 R500k and Jooste R600k RTR

Excelero Book 1 Muir R300k and Jooste RTR R1.5m

Total costs: R3.1m at RTR sale

Jooste will win most of the prize money funded by the smaller buyers – one has to say he is a genius.

Compared to the BSA RTR:

Top 3 horses past post cost R430k….to win over R2m in prize money!!

Winter Star cost R100k and she only went to this sale.

Different league really.

As they say …”only Fools and Horses..”

i say these be fore the rtr race have become the joke. equine talk is correct the smaller buyer is subsidising the bigger player. what will be interest is to see what the guy like jooste pay in commission if he buy back? is it percentage or flat fee

Flash - jooste is vendor, buyer and owns the sales company himself! so he pay commission to himself anyway!!!

pixie that might be so but is question with interesting answer. if commission is pay then the buy back can be expensive if is only a fee then no problem for any one to buy a horse and qualify by buy back
