Lot 53 in their RTR catalogue is full brother to Red Ray which Mr Jooste bought at Book 1 for R1.5m

will he and Ramsden will put it on and buy it back to try and win the race?

Just like they did with Red Ray!

If you ask me they are using small owners and breeders money to fund their own big pots

Disnae make any sense to me !!!!

No need to get yer panties in a bunch....full siblings are seldom better than the best.....this and Red Ray.....have four earlier full siblings....in Nania, Vermillion,Target Aquired and Valor Red....the chances of the so called hottie on the sale eclipsing that of Red Ray are therefore slim...he may just be better than the fore mentioned siblings.....or maybe not as good....no guarantee that he got the right mix of mom and dad genes in the same proportion as the correct Red Ray.....::o

.....I get the gist of the dilemma that Jooste and co are playing high stakes pinhooking which should not really be allowed.....I think that these RTR sales with entries to a big prize race should exclude horses purchased on previous sales.......last years sale was jam packed with horses purchased on earlier sales and were bought back by the very connections that put them on the sale.....I still say Red Ray sibling is nothing to fear.....but hey... it's the bosses money and he can spend it any way he wants to....but imagine being the oke with a R70K purchase in the no 1 box come race day.....;)
