I think this is a very difficult card in including the Futura race, now that I've had a look at it.

Taking my chances with Princess Chloe in the 1st. One has got assume it has some ability otherwise it wouldn't have made the float to Durban. More importantly though, it started favourite on debut and two horses that ran behind her, have come out and won.

In R3, I fancy April Rock. Much improved last effort, if he jumps on terms from a good draw, must be in with a shout.

R6, Futura (7/10), eish:D, many things point to this horse being rolled, toughest assignment to date, second run after the rest, first time this course, the right hand turn, racing under lights, never been the distance, badly in at the weights being a three year old. The burning question must be how desperate are they to punish the horse to win a R 150 000 race when there are bigger plans afoot, if the jockey finds himself in a spot of bother with 200 to go? Not a betting race for me anymore, I'd be happy to see it win on share ability/class.

The 1900, the betting says it all, 9/2 the field. I'm going to back two horses, Halve The Deficit and Tribal Dance, and hope one wins.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Futura IMO is never a 7/10 shot in that field. Will probably win but no value at that price.

Race 7, the "1900"; #9 HALVE THE DEFICIT; easy and impressive in his last start; looks classy; hot (for-now) Tarry trains; I think worth 5/1 (this price considers reserve runners), 11/2 available, ask for 8's

Prosperous punting B)-

Mac, with you 100%, when you consider before he was scratched last time out there was little in the betting between him and Yorker and there is no Yorker in the field. 6/1 great value and worth a bet. (tu)

BTP see the claim thread, it takes less than the cost of a bunny chow to claim a horse these days
