who is the track manager answerable to Bob? This sh1t has been going on far too long and it must surely be the responsibility of the "big boys" to ensure it didn't happen again. If for every meeting they are just going to brush it aside and everyone blame the track manager it will seemingly never improve. I guess that would mean Phumelela? It is ultimately their responsibility to ensure the track condition, that racing goes ahead and on an outstanding surface, not just a raceable one. They should have been testing/checking/whatever the surface every day or so since the last comedy show. If the track manager is not good enough, they should have got another months ago. if they are too scared to do that for political reasons, they should have appointed someone to at least work alongside him. Disgrace. Shameful. Hugely embarrassing and harmful to SA racing.

So the demise of racing contiues and not only on flamigo park the cancer of bee is sickening the whole of our industry.but the crux of the matter is that phumelela doesnt care bout racing anymore

PS Where do I claim compensation for my wasted six hours work on the card. Think I should receive a bonus too as it was such a dreadful card to study! :silly:

If the NHA weren't puppets of the operators, they should be charging them with bringing racing into disrepute.

For the folks that put in a lot of effort to make things better, a thing like this must be like a dagger in the heart - can not understand how this can happen - and they can't even blame the weather (or is it now too dry :ohmy: )

I look forward to an official statement and someone being brought to book, if I had a runner and had made the trek to Vaal would have totally lost it!
