A man takes his wife to be tested.

Two days later, he gets a call from the lab.

Doctor : I'm sorry to inform you, your wife's test results were mixed up with another patient's. We not sure if she has COVID-19 or Alzheimer's disease.

Man : So what am I supposed to do now?

Doctor : Take her for a long walk and leave. If she finds her way back home, don't open the door.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

So when it comes to humanity and economy I have to say that I have now decided on the ecomy. Apparently 48 m women now do not have access to birth control thanks to the lockdowns. So if all lockdowns are lifted and we lose 10 m still a proper gain. This is globally

Morning all and another day and the 35 day lockdown almost over.

I am now depressed and not impressed by the Government.
There are many business leaders speaking out against the overkill with restrictions to business, you can either die of poverty/starvation or the virus?

As far as older people it also appears that we were being trained to practice being in a home before our time, or the way it going, we will just die in the house.

Ok time for a wee song
Keeping on with the sad mood
The sun ain't gonna shine anymore by the Walker Bros

We went to see them in Edinburgh many many moons ago ....

Mike

I am sure you aware the lead singer was Scott and the brother was Gary?
Think Scott died a few years ago and were very popular at their peak.

Making a mask mandatory after 5 weeks of lock-down is like putting a condom on after she's already pregnant

USA VP Mike Pence is the man leading the COVID fight in the USA, the country with supposedly the highest death toll due to this virus. Yesterday, he visited Covid patients in hospital, without wearing a mask. The immediate reaction would be that "he is dumb". I think that would be a lazy reaction, and deserves some deliberation.

....this mask issue is perturbing....now they want fabric/material/cloth masks.....they seem to be snubbing the conventional one use paper ply ones mainly from China....because of pure greed in the huge mark ups on these items...possibly also to simulate local manufacture in the textile industry....my consultancy gig has asked all staff that come into the office to also wear mandatory face shields but are not providing them...WTF guess I will continue to be pretending to work from home....

....finally got busted covertly walking the dog this morning....f@ck so close to being legal but not....played the old timers card and told the cops I thought the lockdown had been lifted and dog walking was now legal.....they said not and wanted to arrest me....I asked if they could follow me home so I could put the dog away but they said no,,,,so I called my wife to come fetch the Malamutt....and then they said over the phone they would arrest her too.... I then said that she is highly connected with top cops and she rattled off on the phone some brigadiers name.....they then let me go with a warning but told me that even in level 4 dog walking is not permissible...what you can run jog cycle and walk...but not with a dog....FFS please make a call on what is actually allowed and when....because if the cops dont know....who the hell does....

Durban - Social media groups have been abuzz with concern after KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala announced that despite the rest of the country downgrading to level 4 from May 1, eThekwini will remain at level 5.

Zikalala made the announcement last week, adding that the metro was the province's coronavirus epicentre with more than 900 people having contracted the virus.

However, Zikalala moved to allay fears and explained that eThekwini will move down to level 4 along with the rest of SA.

Speaking at a media briefing on Wednesday, he said eThekwini will be opening up some sectors, making it part of level 4.

"All regulations that are still attached will still be strictly implemented. Like with taxis, we will have to ensure that commuters wear masks and are practising social distancing. We will also be engaging with big business to gauge their readiness for level 4. Each company must be able to check the temperature of employees and screen them as well as provide masks and hand sanitiser," he said.
