That second place by Emerald Cove reduces JM's lead to almost nothing (R7k or so?) with 3 races to go, if I haven't missed anything.

Race 10 - Jet Master has Jet Jamboree and Masterpiece
Race 11 - Captain Al has Dance With Al, Jet Master has Phantom Fighter
Race 12 - Captain Al has Mana Mou

Looks like this could go down to the last race of the season!

How is this!!! Dynasty beats Capt Al in the 9th to bring the sire championship to within a few thousand Rand!!! Next two races are crucial. But did you realize that if the objection in Race 8 had been upheld Silvano could have upset the apple cart. This is the weirdest race in sire championship history - must say that I have never seen such weird racing at Greyville - race 9 run way off the rail all the way. Any horse running up the inside was lengths worse off. Two races to go. What a race!!!! Such fun! In my 37 years i have never seen the like

Wow, massive win for Jet Master by Jet Jamboree.

Still enough stakes left for Captain Al with two races to go. Fantastic stuff.

Think Jet Master has this wrapped.
Dance With Al is scratched, which leaves only Mana Mou. A first won't be enough from my calculations...

37 - I wish I was only 37 - no!!! That is how log I have been in racing. My colours were registered 37 years ago! Amazing racing today. The fact that we raced at all! Wide off the rail and anything that raced on the inside had lengths to find. Jet jamoborees superb win did it for his magnificent sire! JM proves once again why he is the most superb stallion! Champion again. Well done!!!! Wish we had won. Ironic as it was Dynasty's little star daughter Beach Beauty beating Emerald Cove for Captain Al was the final straw. Agony and ecstasy door me! Well done Jet Master I admit defeat to a superior sire!!!! We will be back.

Ah, you're right. I've just been a spectator today, not a punter, and hadn't checked the scratchings.

That win sealed it for Jet Master. Well done to all concerned! :)

This is what racing is all about - it's so multi dimensional - really competitive. An observation I should share: neither Capt Al nor Jet Masters progeny like wet going. Results today show. But racing is about wining on any conditions and the result of this particular challenge today was what makes our game so maginificent!

And I should say special congrats to Patricia Devine who bred Jet Jamboree for her stallion! Well done Pat. Great achievement! Truly great! We tried as hard as we could. Beat you next year! I hope!
