in his defence he hit the ball and the pad at the same time. At least one good thing is that the 3rd umpire can now have a blue for the rest of the innings

The decisions in this series have shown why you don't walk. You are going to get bad decisions go against you so why not benefit when they go for you.

when i was at school I edged a ball to the keeper who caught it. I just stood there and the umpire, who was our teacher, did not give me out. I went onto to score a fifty and to this day I still feel shit about not walking and that was a long time ago. After that I always walked when I edged it and sometimes I even walked when I was LBW before the umpire could give me out.
