Who'd've believed it was possible! Hope you took your own advice Madgie ... you'll be buying drinks for the whole bowling club this weekend.

Jokes aside, it was great to see, if seriously nerve-racking. Specially good to see Faf's joy and delight in winning his first game as captain, against all the odds. Remember that Sri Lanka top the ICC T20 table so they are hardly bunnies.

Think he got a little tight playing the shot and sometimes you don't feel the brush on the thigh pad but he would have heard the noise. I think he said to Cook that he didn't think he hit it, Cook said are you sure and he probably said no, not 100%, and on the basis of the noise Cook probably then told him to go. Very odd though.

Unlucky to be given out but players dont mind that as the umpire made a mistake and at first it looked as if he edged it.

good to see Trott out for just a mere 5 as he was saying the otherday that he expects to score a hatful of runs in this test.

Weather forecast is for rain around 3pm and intermittantly for the rest of the game. A draw appears likely if England avoid the follow on.

looks like Warner will be opening the batting for Australia in the 2nd innings in the hope that he can score quickly adding to the lead of 159 runs.

Pity the rain came but then thats the kak weather that you have to put up with in Manchester.

I think that Australia will declare overnight and England will just play for the draw. If the Aussies can get 3 wickets inside the first 25 overs then it may be game on. The Aussies will be stupid not to declare for it they dont then they will only have one new ball tomorrow and if the rain stays away we could be in for a great 5th day providing they get those first 3 wickets early on.

I really should sign up to write for a newspaper

Rain predicted for tomorrow and bad light will probably also come into play. The Aussies will have to bowl very well to get the win.
