....we had security issues in the complex 2 weeks prior to lock down....those most vocal and all part of our body corp were very quick to point fingers when some okes looking to bounce a tenant got trapped in the complex and broke the gates to get out....however since the lock down none have them have left their houses but snipe at each other on the Watsapp group created for security matters....:S
..... 2 weeks ago an entourage of police in marked cars and members of various government departments with blue light escorts in black high end SUV's arrived here to escort my wife to our top client's manufacturing facility so that they could verify their manufacturing and supply process was legitimate before proceeding with procurement contracts....these okes here got noses put out joint big time.... yet still buzz each other on the group commenting on our daily coming and going citing how unfair it is that we get to go in and out....... as if it any business theirs any way....

The past 48 hours.
Thursday night at 21.55 Telkom had an outage in my area. Lost use of both my LAN line and the internet. Friday has com and gone, Telkom still not re-connected.
Woke up this morning at 4.30 (Saturday) and we have an Eskom power failure, Telkom still not working.
Was assured by mates on the community chat that municipality are attending to the Eskom problem, it is now 17.27 and we still have no power from both Eskom/the municipality, nor Telkom.
Starting to think my area is jinxed, and I am not superstitious.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Good morning to you all on Easter Sunday: 17 of 35 so not even half way there, after being in the final furlong, then the finishing post was moved.
Sad to hear about the Ministers reaction to alcohol ban, he might be correct but the phrase comes to mind "the operation was a success but the patient died".
If we consider many in terrible conditions and according to medical projections many will die?
So would it not be better to take the approach of "some relief" rather than "close the shack and don't come out until we tell you its safe".
I understand we have plenty religious leaders against the lockdown today, hope we don't have unrest .
Racing still appears in turmoil, with nobody talking about the master plan that is happening behind closed doors?
On that subject of Australia racing, we were on that Zoom app yesterday to friends there.
I was astounded that THE KIDS ARE STILL GOING TO SCHOOL, in Scotland they certainly have less restrictions than in SA.
I would say that our Presidents speeches have been well received internationally, its a pity we had ZUMA in between, this country could have been potential great?
I am sure our grand children are privileged and are aware we have the virus, however their main priority this morning was finding eggs on the Easter egg hunt.
My song choice today is a classic song from a classic singer and consider the situation we are in quote:
" I see friends shaking hands, saying "how do you do" ......

For Lent I gave up processed wheat and have just returned from Checkers with a delicious crusty French loaf to celebrate after online mass this morning. Can’t wait.
Happy Easter. Buona Pasqua. Casca sona. Caisge Shona.

I read an article yesterday which is spot on as to the car guards at my local PnP.
When households are not able to meet their most basic needs, non-compliance with lockdown restrictions is inevitable, " reducing the effectiveness of the lockdown as a whole. As a recent article puts it, ' hunger is a force greater than fear' "
Now to work on my Sha Tin jackpot.
Happy Easter.

Good morning to you all on Easter Monday.
Well hope you had a pleasant Sunday with family and no friends😪
We did have another zoom with family in Scotland and England, certainly get the impression that Boris is as popular as a fart in a spacesuit.
My Sunday lunch was a success but rather stressful for scotia.
The weather yesterday was steaming hot and today we wake up to some lovely rain, the challenge today is keeping the kids busy.
I have updated Stats and again painful when you realize that these numbers are actually someone’s loved ones.
We will let the horse racing threads run there course and hope for good news sooner rather than later as we all hang in.
To be honest this entire chapter in life gets rather depressing and can’t really get my mind on songs on a Monday morning, but have chosen a couple ......
