SEAN VEALE - PROHIBITED PRACTICE - Oh Dear!

I think it is a storm in a tea cup - the NHA rules are so unclear and anyway I do not have a problem with jocks betting (surely owners and trainers bet) - unless they are blatantly stopping a horse to win - and in theory our stewards have to keep an eye on those - especially for repeating offences; imo the NHA rules need to be adjusted / updated / clarified 

The Nhra has now proved how useless they are. This is a storm in a teacup. There is real fraud being committed every race day in SA. Horses running unfit, jockeys not riding horses to attain the best possible placing etc. So pork chop sticks in a punter to win and gets hammered,poor fish?

Just watched 15th Feb Race and interested in the 3rd and 5th horses, drifted and ridden????

And most agents are punters, if not them all!!!!

......yeah and some book/take rides that they know can get rolled.....and here punters slag the jock....yet it is the agent that is scooping those big PA's etc....and jock none the wiser....wonderful game this....huh

And they`re the ones scooping the big PA`s when their jockey  (favourite) runs a dirty fourth. It only takes one or two favourites to run out the PA to ensure a decent payout. Punters stay in the dark!

....do you think that other top trainers are going to snap him up.....he will be lucky to get to throw a leg over any morning work let alone get decent rides on a race day..... many an oke have seen their arse trying to get too cleva....

I honestly don’t understand why Veale would do this you tube video, just move on.Racing forgets quick,99% of people. One thing I find is laughable when he says it is the first time he made a mistake like this and in fact there have been voice notes for months.

......no it's the 1st time he got caught.....punters may forget....but trainers and their patrons never forget.....

Veale is Lucky he didn't get Warned off .I remember in England jockey got warned off for about five year for both front shoes coming off the horse during the race and this horse was heavily backed.Think the trainer also got warned off.
Another top jockey in England was also warned off for placing bets .
Question is should jockeys get a fine or should they be warned off ? 
Same with Lerena ,what will the authorities do if another incident happens whilst they are investigating? 
In the workplace any form of assault on another employee is a dismissable offence .
NHA seriously need to relook at their disciplinary code of conduct i.m.o .
One last point : the difference between Veale and a lot of jockeys out there is that Veale got caught .
