Personally , I do read the threads quite often, to keep up with racing news in general, as for the tipping part I find not much value cos one never knows who is going to be on the mark and when exactly.
As for contributing, I have quite a dislike for good ole Bob !!, who in my not so humble opinion , is far too vulgar and opinionated ,and not forgetting Rob Faux ( the self appointed judge of who and what is right/correct on ABC discussions).
I, and no doubt others, see no point in contributing to a forum that is to a large extent "kept in line" to suit the thinking or opinions of a handful.
No doubt this will be dismissed as B****t, but that is totally what is expected !!!!

Sealegs why would you say that people wont post because ABC keeps us in line. I post what I want (no personal insults and no threats) and I don't get wrapped for it. That's the only rule on ABC.
As for your writings about Bob, well that's out of order as he is the admin and obviously he has to have an opinion (just like you have an opinion of him) and I am sure that he get frustrated at times thus the swearing.
You should join in and I promise you that you will find more winning tips over a period of time and come out on top and I am sure that you have something to offer as well

"not at all but geez take yourself to the races one day don't you miss seeing the actual horse in the flesh and standing close to the rail when the race is on and watching these wonderful athletes giving their all?"
With you on this one Pirates. I will never forget standing at the finishing post when Taban thundered by to win the SAA Sprint.

Sorry Sealegs!!!!! Have loved this game for 40 years (and have obviously formed some very firm opinions over that time ) and hate what has happened since corporatization( so can't help feel they are a lot to blame)
I am fully aware that there are many opinions that differ from mine( and have said so) but I try to debate the issue, bearing that in mind.
Yes , Louis and I had a lot of head bumping, but judging from his more recent posts he also believes that the system could do with some improvement!
Anyway, racing is not dead , but it is ailing in certain areas and I hope that enough of us will keep on the case of those that think that local racing's financial demise is OK -I won't apologise for that!
(BTW, any chance you might have the balls to identify yourself.....lol)

Rob, that you are passionate about the game is quite obvious, the problem arises when "passion" is misdirected!!! ( that's a general statement btw)
As to my identity, it is of no consequence whatsoever, as I am in no way "connected" nor affiliated to any group. I am what you would call "your average punter", in it for the thrill and maybe a buck!
Its a pity though that while all the "powerful and wise " racing people are at each others throats trying to take/keep control .....the average punter is growing more and more disillusioned.
Thank you for your response and kindly continue sharing your thoughts( whilst affording others the same opportunity)..lol

OK,my lack of diplomacy obviously conveys intolerance and I honestly don't mean to force my views, but to strongly convince numbers to rally and get us punters heard!
For instance we have a new initiative aimed at getting "crowds to the rafters in a rush"but as you have pointed out on another thread, until they make the experience a pleasant one, what is the point!

Chicken people don't have to post why they like a horse. I'm just giving reasons to why I feel it's a waste of time sometinea to bother reading or posting.
I would like to say this. I was very hard on ziets when he was a tipster for the exact reason stated above, but since he has become involved in the stable I have the utmost respect for his posts and really think he does a great job in contributing to abc.
