CnC --- Difficult to work this out but surely GUEST accounts can be limited to view only the advertising and not the forum. When Logged on then you can view the forum. Although you online you not obliged to post but atleast the forum knows who is online and it will take away the PIRATE views we have.

They are posters on this site that spend Hours studying and posting for eg (Englander) for only GUESTs to reap the rewards with no effort. Seems unfair but its that way at the moment. Who Knows maybe even the bookiers are monitoring the site as GUESTS but if they had to register and login to view comments then we would know who they are

For this Forum to continue its buzz it needs participation from GUESTS and ONLINE REGISTERED users. Just my 2 Cents

It is a concern but the nature of forums or readers comments always have a low ration from posters to viewers
I have just looked at the letter to Jooste from the breeder we had 2859 views and 97 posts as people regard as a burning issue, not sure how many views there was on SP but only a few posts on the subject.
The one thing that gives slight concern where the guys come out the woodwork for a free compo and never say a word on the site, the paid compos far less interest.

However we do the best we can to give visitors a platform to voice their opinion plus plenty valuable info on racing from tips to any general question that needs a reply

I'm still getting long term members asking me for passwords from our move in July

One big fuck up, which I have to take the blame for for not making sure everything was in place before we moved.

As dave says it just takes a burning issue to get guys posting again, infact last week was just about as busy as we always was

But then it goes dodo again

Only takes a few guys to start chatting to open the floodgates

Good afternoon All

I very seldom punt midweek, for want of a better word (Monday to Friday), so i don't post. I admit to reading the daily thread about the meeting, however i don't sponge off the posts, it's more out of interest sake. When i see something i fancy, i will post - like at Durbanville tomorrow, when someone starts the thread.

Question, how many of these post does one take seriously when placing a bet?
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

You'll be surprised how many times I look for posts from certain posters.
Not going to mention names, but if you filter, you find the value comes from those who do the work, and puts an effort into it
I would only post if i really liked something
Other threads i follow and only comment if i feel justified

It may be a good thing to start paying for all comps, even if it's only R50
But i suppose the sponges still won't contribute,eh?

the slow traffic on the forum is due to posters saying to themselves ' its quiet so I am not going to bother to post' and they don't. In my case I speak to myself on the forum so often that it does not effect me.

To those that are regulars, keep going strong and the numbers will return when whatever issues afflict them are past...

Been busy and do not post during the day - I don't even view the forum and I generally browse in the evenings and post where I feel the need to

I mainly view and post over the weekends

I agree where many "guests" view the posts of some brilliant tipsters on this forum who take the time to study and post valuable information - this should be restricted to registered forum members

To those that spend hours studying and posting - well done and keep up the excellent work
