Sad for the Phum coal face workers getting furloughed but very necessary this business practitioner is at least stopping the bleed but did we have to hear this from deep throat.
Now what of the Phum big wigs are they going to pitch in even with reduced earning power. UIF and Covid clauses should cover the lower earners but will the top earners now start showing they have a role to play.
One of my ex-customers a very large listed corporate was in a restructuring phase before Covid hit. They now have done similar but asked all staff to reapply for their jobs and give motivation why they should be employed in the new structure.

Morning on day 62
It’s Wednesday the 27th of May.
I have been doing this for 62 days and wake up thinking what more can I contribute?
I am depressed, every day the same, the days get longer as life passes by.
All I can say is ..........

Morning Dave... and other clanners.
A big thanks for the effort Dave. I know how it feels to try and be positive, and it’s a struggle.
Your posts the last 62 days actually give me something to look forward to in the morning. Not so much the stats, but rather the empathy and knowledge generated that others are feeling the same and I am not alone ..
The songs you post ( Magi et al) are well thought out and have been great.
I for one appreciate the effort and will raise a toast to that effort once the damn bottlestores open. As they said in the 80s while many were doing the time... min dae.

Morning guys no problem and thanks.
To be honest just could not think of any ball bursting new contributions.?
I was going to go for a walk but it’s cold.
Have decided just to have a glass of red wine with a bar of chocolate.
I am listening to the right honorable minister Zuma, explanation on that cigs are bad for your health? Whilst someone coughing in the background of her interview.

Keep on truckin Dave.
A few references to the intelligence and perhaps the lack of same re the decisions made by the Pres and his merry band.
The wheel is spinning, but the hamster is dead.
A few fries short of a Happy Meal.
A few cans short of a six-pack.
Has an IQ of 2, but it takes 3 to grunt.
All foam, no beer.
Some drink from the fountain of knowledge, but he just gargled.

Morning on day 63
It’s Thursday 28th May
As per yesterday’s post we are still in a state of limbo and makes it difficult to contribute .
I started watching the news to break up the day.
The hair and beard get longer and my CV to be Father Christmas looks good.
Not sure if when the Gazette is published today? We will be “away and racing” or do we have grey areas?
Probably the same applies to churches, smokes and drinks as debates continue.
I hope we can enter the weekend with some clarification.

Level 3, regulations announced today a couple of days late.. Not sure that this will delay racing ?
Possible a few days later than hoped for , but I’d take that if it was offered

I think alcohol will be available countrywide but with restrictions.
If not mistaken there are excise duties that SARS collects on wine and spirits etc. so they will want to top up the coffers.
