Day 101, it’s a Sunday.
Not sure what the future brings? many fears and thoughts and none are very positive.
More businesses closing doors and unemployment will reach an all time high.
On the positive side, THUMBS UP at the big T where you can lead your winner into the number one box.
Watching the replays from yesterday on the site and great race from Celtic Sea.
No surprise with O’Brien again in the Oaks and Derby.
Oaks; Love looks special and will possibly take on Enable in the ARC.
Coral Eclipse is a must watch today where Enable has a tough challenge.
Derby; Serpentine certainly bit the punters and well done to trifecta punters 25/1, 50/1, 66/1.
As far as a song for Sunday
We have Troubled waters ahead , this is an old classic

Dave, i would manage risk and stock up tomorrow on alcohol if u live in Gauteng. we probably have 3-6 weeks of chaos ahead of us in Gauteng and then hopefully the numbers stabilize and drop off. the regional government seems to be in full blown panic mode about their ability to cope with the influx of infected people. Talking the talk and not walking the walk seems to have caught up with Gauteng and Eastern Cape.
i personally will be staying home as much as possible over the next 6 weeks.

Day 102, it’s Monday and the start of another week.
Trying to keep positive but it ain’t that easy.
Thanks for the input Sly and you could be right.
Let’s rather talk horses.
I like to check ante post on a Monday after the weekends results.
The July remains 9/2 Rainbow Bridge and Belgarion with the niggling Hawwaam 20/1 for a bit speculation?
Overseas we watched Enable run a decent second.
Enable will probably go for the King George 16/10
Ghaiyyath will probably go for Juddmonte.
Love will probably leave the St Leger to Santiago.
So the ARC will be special, Love 4/1, Enable 5/1 and a tempting 12/1 Ghaiyyath.
As far as a song for these worrying times.

It’s day 103 of lockdown.
News still depressing and leadership still silent.
I took the advice to try and stock up at Makro using u count rewards, it was busy.
I was motivated by 89 year old Sean Connery
Quote “ I’ve been asked, what do Old folks do now that you are retired ?
Well....I’m fortunate to have a chemical engineering background and one of things I enjoy most is converting beer, wine and vodka into urine. I do it every day and really enjoy it”
It’s probably not clever but makes life less stressful.
Katak goes for 4 in a row in the Cape.
After the Derby prize money dropping from GBP 1.5 M to 500k, the Juddmonte at York also taking massive dip from GBP of 1 M to 275 K.
With Hawwaam being officially scratched, most of the runners at top of the boards have shortened. Soqrat still around 20/1.
Song for today is a song from Cyril to minister of finance.

Day 104 of lockdown
Trucks strike causing havoc as virus numbers increase up North.
Mrs S wants to go to the shops to spend her birthday gift voucher and scotia wants to watch racing.
She insists that “White Wife’s Matter” so I guess the mask is going on and we are for the OFF......
On subject of vouchers check the OTT banner on site, very user friendly.
Racing update.
Katak made it 4 in a row and looks decent.
As predicted Enable and Ghaiyyath will be kept apart before the ARC .
Love has been backed to 3/1 as Enable goes 5/1.
Enable 16/10 for King George and Ghaiyyath will be money on for Juddmonte.
Serpentine going to St Leger to take on Santiago.
The most expensive 2018 yearling Darain runs at Newbury tonight 15/10.
I am running out of songs, so will just use one of the wife’s favs as she is the boss today.

what absolute BS
this bloke professes to be be a medical doctor?
enca loves this type of sensational news - they are a piss poor news station
I remember the day after the president warned about covid and travelling etc (think March 16), they had this blonde bimbo (bambi or heide or something) reporting from the airport - "South Africans are panicking and are desperate to leave the country"
assholes

Morning on day 105 from a rather cold Pretoria.
Thanks for the above contributions to the “fears and thoughts” during lockdown.
No matter whether we have fake news or not, we are heading for difficult times, maybe a minister read on the site that “the Vaal is a graveyard for punters” and thought it was a good idea?
No offense meant for sensitive viewers.
Let’s talk racing:
It’s York and Newmarket today and the Dante should go to Highest Ground, many top class races over the next few days.
What about Darain last night at Newbury? This horse is something special.
As far as a song, one of my best friends passed away a couple of years ago, the same week Miss Diana had a baby,
He was an extremely talented singer, story teller and his mouth organ skills were legendary.
His name was Mike Hall (Humble Mike) and we named the baby Humble Tune to keep his memory.
Mike was well traveled and had great stories.
Keeping to a funeral theme, this was one of his classic build ups to a great song where his trumpet skills were also show cased.

Morning: day 106 of the lockdown .
The weather gets cold and power cuts loom.
The covid numbers increase but deaths remain low.
In a rush this morning, have to see a man about the car.
I did see a geezer about my geyser but have to now see a man about the roof.
Newmarket today where Frankie should win the big one on Terebellum.
Songs have been a bit depressing, so just to up the tempo.
Hi ho silver lining is a good sing along.
I used to watch a couple of late night music shows many years ago.
Old Grey Whistle Test with whispering Bob Harris ?
Plus Jools Holland, here is the New Years show, with some real stars joining in the chorus.
