Call to Unite scratched.

One runner at Fairview on Monday, weather permitting.
*Elusive Jewel in race 7. First run out the maidens, but a gutsy win last time and gets the plum draw. This race is a lottery and anything can win. She is fit and well and hoping that she can put in another good effort.

Very good run by Elusive Jewel into 3rd, and a whopping R6.30 a place on the tote.
She is probably better over a bit further, so should be competitive in these lower handicap races.

Three very nice runners at Vaal on Tuesday, and the 42/1 treble is not impossible.
Canford Rose runs in race 5. She never really got into the race last time until it was all over, and this testing trip should be just up her alley. Not the strongest of fields although she takes on older girls, and as previously mentioned, the form of her debut race is very strong with nearly everything from that race coming out to win.
Aussenkehr runs in race 7, carrying top weight. Not an easy task against a useful field, and this will be his first appearance at this track. He may still have scope to progress and is a lively runner.
Nothingelsematters runs in race 9. His two runs on the highveld have been promising and he should have a good chance here. It’s a large field, and he runs from off the pace so will need to avoid traffic.

Somewhat disappointing with Canford Rose missing the placings, Aussenkehr a tame 4th and Nothingelsematters finding one too good on the day.

Two runners at Kenilworth on Wednesday in the mud.
*Treasure Hunt in race 7. Will need this run after a break and interrupted work, and a tough task with top weight in the heavy going.
*Sunlit From Heaven in race 8. Takes on winners but the fillies get a 3kg pull against the boys. The Crawford horses are all fit, so she could sneak a place, although jockey has to ride 1 kg overweight.

One runner at Greyville on Saturday. Golden Tatjana in race 6. Takes on the boys, but she has done so with aplomb previously. This looks quite an open contest, and the favourite has to jump from a very wide draw. With youngsters the rate of improvement is the big unknown. I think that she is in with a very good chance of running in the first three and could win with a bit of luck.

Golden Tatjana disappointed, but did not get much help from the saddle after being squeezed for room. maybe the tough season taking its toll.

One runner at Fairview Monday. Elusive Mata in race 1. We were very happy with her debut last time and should have made natural improvement. She is bred to go a trip so this is still too short, but must have a good ew shout. Golden Pacific looks the one to beat, with Si Gioca and Butterfly Queen also in the mix.

Elusive Mata still very dumb, dropped in from the wide draw, and ran on well from far back into second, but the winner too good on the day. We should have some fun with her once the penny drops.

One runner at Turffontein on Tuesday. JP Twothousand runs in the 8th. He gets a nice draw in an open field but is unreliable these days.

A better effort by JP in 4th but still not back to his 3yo form.

Two runners at Kenilworth on Wednesday. We have had a few days of sunshine and breeze so the track should be much better, although still soft. The Milnerton trainers still at a disadvantage through lost work.
*Sunlit from Heaven in race 6. This is stronger than the maiden handicaps that she has been contesting, so not expecting too much. She needs 2 runs this month to qualify for the season activity bonus, so must run here after last week’s washout. She will be fit as she’s trained in Phillipi, and some of the 2yos may struggle in the going. Small place chance at best. Amazingly, the 6 two year olds have pulled the 6 best draws!
*Treasure Hunt runs in race 8. Steps back up to a mile, which should suit now, but a lousy draw. Has had an interrupted prep, and may need the run. However, she is a light framed filly and may be fitter than we think. Very hard to assess her chances in a competitive race, but she is game, so hoping she can earn a cheque despite carrying top weight.

One runner at Fairview on Friday. Beau Kala in race 3. Has her first run for new stable and tries the poly for the first time. Has been running against stronger in CT so will be competitive if she handles the poly.

Good win by Beau Kala which enjoyed the poly.
Good chance of a double with our one runner at Turffontein on Saturday.
Celtic Rumours runs in race 8 and should be hard to beat over this trip. The only concern is her wide draw.
