Celtic Rumours a bit disappointing but had to make up a lot of ground.

One runner at Vaal on Tuesday. Understated runs in race 6. He has lost form, but note that his last 2 runs he was many kg under sufferance so had no chance. Back in his own class could upset if finding his best form.

One runner at Kenilworth on Wednesday. Lady Renee runs in race 4. Very open maiden handicap, but she has been in good form and again has an ew chance.
We have had a few days of sunshine since Saturday so despite the heavy rain prior, the course should be ok, although still soft.

Disappointing performance by Lady Renee.
One runner at Fairview on Friday.
Countessofthestars makes her debut in race 2.
We wanted to give her a first run down the turf straight, but this is the third time that it’s been switched to poly, so we are letting her run. She will need the experience and further. Hoping to see her running on strongly.

One runner at Turffontein on Saturday.
Canford Rose runs in race 6. Very disappointing effort last time, and has failed to build on her promising debut in subsequent couple of runs. Small field, and hoping to see some improvement.

Looked the part to post today, and came home very well even though she's still a big baby...;)

Smart win by Canford Rose. She will be an interesting prospect over ground next season.

One runner at Greyville on Sunday. Exceeder runs in race 4. An open race and a long time since his last win but he is capable at best.

One runner at Vaal on Thursday. Aussenkehr runs in race 8. Very competitive race, and few can be ruled out. The handicapper does seem to have caught up with him, but he has an ew shout.

Fair third by Aussenkehr. Finished in front of some useful sprinters behind runaway winning stable companion which showed dramatic return to the form of 3 years ago.
Two runners at Kenilworth on Saturday.
Race 1. *Klip in die Bos makes his debut. Good pedigree but not the best conformation so did not go to a sale. Has not galloped on the grass, so should need this run. Shows fair work at home.
Race 2. * Princess Raya (bred in partnership with Maine Chance) also makes debut. Out of the Princess Victoria family. Scopy filly, has not galloped on the grass, so should need this run. Shows promising work at home and a good action. Likely to need further but has shown pace.

One runner at Greyville on Monday. Hokaai My Meisie in race 1. Should have come on a lot from her first run, but again gets a bad draw. However, with Richard up, if she gets away on terms and handles the poly, then she can win. This isn’t the strongest field, and she bumped much stronger on debut.

Sadly, Hokaai stood in the gates and gave away many lengths.

One runner at Turffontein on Thursday. Nothingelsematters runs in the 9th. He has run 3 good races since relocating, and I think that this track will suit him. Free Movement is a decent sort, but 5kg may just swing it to N. Looks fair ew value at 5/1.

One runner at Fairview on Friday. Understated is formless and bizarrely entered to run in the PE Gold Cup, race 6. He is hopelessly outclassed and some 15kg under sufferance. Confident selection to run last. Surely feature races should have some minimum standard for eligibility?

A quiet past week with the CT meeting abandoned.
One runner Greyville on Wednesday.
*Pascali runs in race 3. Good draw, right distance and has dropped in class. Acts on both poly and turf. He is down in the ratings and I will be very disappointed if he does not win this.
