Good debut by Call to Unite close up third. Was a bit green, and ducked away from the stick, but finished the race off very well and will be hard to beat next time.
Two more foals have been born - nice colts out of Sylvie (Canford Cliffs)and Iris and Ruby.( Elusive Fort).
One runner at Greyville on Monday. * Pascali runs in race 6. Has scratched up to just 6 runners. He gets the plum draw and the 1900m should suit. Expecting a big run and although an open race, I think that he is the one to beat.

Good run by Pascali in 2nd, but the youngster on the winner rode them all to sleep.
6 foals on our farm so far, 3 each fillies and colts. Elusive Fort has been getting all his early mares in foal first jump.
Watched some of the RTR entries have their first grass galops at Durbanville on Thursday morning- they were allowed to use the outside of the back straight. The course looked remarkably good after the hectic storm over the long weekend. Not a big catalogue, but some really nice sorts.
Two runners at Durbanville on Saturday. There is a bit of rain expected overnight, but its been sunny and hot the past few days, so all should be ok.
*Princess Raya runs in race 3. Horrible draw, and she is still learning what its all about. Will probably have to drop in at the rear, so just hoping to see improvement and her to run on in the straight.
*Treasure Hunt runs in race 9. Also a very tough draw, and thus over this trip won't find it easy to get up handy where she likes to be. She has been working very well, and the mishap in the float last time fortunately just caused superficial abrasions. Will need luck in the running.

Unfortunately Durbanville was again rained out on Saturday.
One runner at Vaal on Tuesday. Aussenkehr runs in race 6. Was bumped up to 101 after his good win last time, and the stable has put up a 4kg claimer, which looks a sensible option. His wins have all been at Turffontein and over the 1160/1200m, so a bit of a question mark about the 1000m Vaal. He did put in a very good effort when close up behind Captain Hindsight over the Turffontein inner 1000m with the same appie aboard.
He is the class horse in the race, and could win again. Main dangers seem to be the young up and coming Cliffhanger, and Rose for Trippi.

Another good run by Aussenkehr just pipped.
One runner at Greyville on Sunday. Common Grounds in race 3. Not the best of draws, but looks the one to beat. Plettenberg and Noble Warrior useful debuts and good draws are dangers, and the older Kumemori is a threat if he can overcome his wide draw.

Smart win by Common Grounds. The mare maintains her 100% winners to runners record.
Half sister is on the Cape RTR sale in a couple of weeks time.
Three runners at Durbanville on Tuesday. A very difficult card, so anything is possible.
*Treasure Hunt in race 2. She needed her last couple of runs a bit more than we thought, and is now fit and ready. Fourie now takes the ride, and she gets a good draw. A very open race but hoping that she can run into the money.
Exceeder runs in race 6. Decent effort last time and he should again be competitive but also a very open contest.
* Lady Renee runs in race 8. Put up a good effort last time, and was only a length behind her stablemate, Seeking Peace and the two of them were just about the first home of those that obeyed the instructions to stay out wide. That one is the stable elect, and again a very open contest, and hoping that she can sneak into the money.

Good run by Treasure Hunt in 3rd, but will keep bumping these improving younger horses in CT during the season.
Exceeder a bit tame.
Lady Renee very poor ride- slow away, wide, not allowed to stride. Ignore this run.
One runner at Greyville on Wednesday. JP Twothousand runs in race 8. Good effort on poly last time, and if he can repeat that performance should go close. However, it’s a very long time since he found the winners box.

Another good run by JP- just pipped into 2nd.
One runner at Fairview on Friday.
Elusive Hunter runs in race 1. Fair debut in Gauteng. She is bred to go much further, and is also entered for Tuesday. She gets a good jockey booking. No idea what to expect this track and trip.

Terrible run by Elusive Hunter. Slow away, outpaced and then unable to take the bend. One wonders whether she had ever been cantered on this track?
One runner at Turffontein on Saturday. Nothingelsematters runs in race 5. A competitive race, and 1600m could be on the sharp side for him and not a great draw. If he is effective this trip then has an ew chance.

As feared this was too sharp for Nothingelsematters and from the draw never got into the race until too late.
One runner at Durbanville on Monday. * Princess Raya runs in race 3. Second run was disappointing. She is still learning to race and will be looking for more ground when she strengthens up. Hoping to see some improvement today from an ok draw and for her to be running on, but this contest looks too strong for her at this stage.
