Don't know if everybody made money today hodson, but I am sure the bookies took lots on the open bet.

This "Punter" was robbed of nothing !!

He was only paying his "School Fees !"

To me,the bookies are my enemy and most things they do are for self interest only..
In fact most should have their licences revoked for impersonating bookmakers.
I hate everything they stand for,their limitations of accounts,their self promotion when
they pay out bets early,their shops filled with roulette machines that have plates of sweets near to keep punters playing,their staff who are clueless and on a personal experience after getting a lucky 15 up.The extraordinary lenghts I had to go to for payment.ie sending passport photos,copies of address and it took 3 weeks to be paid?Also the 5 day turnaround when you withdraw funds.
I do feel sorry for this guy and some people don't read small print,this 30 years argument is bollocks,this was probably the first time the guy had a big win that went above the Max payout ammount and didn't know the bookie had restrictions.
My old man has been punting years and I bet he doesn't know bookies have a Max payout on Yankees and multis.
So if your one of the ones that think the punter is in the wrong,stupid or dumb then think if it was your old man or the old guy that puts he's 50pence multi on every day and all win.

Have to smile.....this is a punter who has been supporting the open bet for years, which means that last week he would have incurred the wrath of all the tote supporters........now that he got the consequences of his choices,he becomes the poor "robbed" victim!

That is a case that a "Punter's Association" should take on in court I think - I would hope the courts would be loath to penalize such a large group that fund the whole industry as apposed to judging between the Operators and Bookmakers? Remember that if you take an open swinger for example and it pays R500 you are not "limited" unless you actually have it so many times that you reach the "limit" - So on certain bets there are infact no limits on the divided - You can't have both

How about the Tote offering bookmakers laying the open bet a sweet deal in order to become agencies ?
Lets see full disclosure on all overseas agents rebates and then offer the same to locals.
