The Hawks are looking into it but as they do not have much experience with regards to riding equipment they are awaiting an oPINion from there specialized racing branch...:S

July,I'm sure your comments re Scotland Yard were tongue in cheek,but I think you may be closer to the truth than realised.
We have many who believe, that in a country where there is no hesitation in using arms to rob,even for as little as a cellphone,nobody would dream of cheating to sweep up the millions of racing rands that are waiting to be claimed every day,bearing in mind that the only risk is getting a slap on the wrist from a half asleep regulation body,and no risk of a criminal action/record..................I think the last time the police were involved in a racing case, was the shooting of Sea Cottage.
The amazing thing is that I think that there are some who are naive enough to believe their own bullsh!t about racing being squeaky clean.........lets be honest,there have to be many schemes on the go!

Rob agree totally im amazed how everyone just accepts the malfunction - strange how it didnt happen to be a 33/1 shot in the race - not suspicious at all hey- absolute bloody joke imo

ROB i couldn't agree with you more... Its so amazing that those that are directly connected in this game always seem to have an answer for each other but when the public voices their opinion we are being sour. Thanks to CHIPPY and CRAIG for their expert saddle knowledge but that doesn't sway away from the truth.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED??? To me an inquiry should be opened just to make the public know that they have a protector that looks after their interest. Funny enough this seems to obvious a saddle slip but that's my oPINion TITCH....

it is quite clear jockeys are untouchable to the stipes and they can basically get away with anything - and equipment examined and all in good order? no further action

im amazed how many people accept it at face value and dont stop to ask themselves some questions? Gavin van zyl - top trainer - checked equipment in parade ring - all fine on the canter down for all the runners - wow only runner with a malfunction on the way back is the odds on Lizzy Grey who did nothing to warrant a malfunction like duck etc and stipes check equip and all fine - what a joke - its almost laughable

oh yes and i forgot - racing is well policed lol what a joke

Just my view on the current subject and there are a lot more experienced posters on this site who have given valuable insight into this post.Posters come on this site and rightly or wrongly make accusations against trainers or jockeys who they in thier opinion consider to be dishonest or whose free information does not pan out . Whislt posters are clearly entitled to thier opinon i belive that the best way to solve your suspicions is to never put your hard earned cash on jockeys you do not trust or utilise what u consider to be unrealiable information.
i wont put a bet on a certain jockey doesnt matter what he rides ,so if he gets beaten on a favourite for any reason i dont lose money so dont have to talk from my pocket.

Monty you are completely missing the point it has to do with principle not how much money you may or i may or may not have put on - if a jockey puts his hands down and gets beat and gets 3 months the stipes dont ask him did you fancy the horse wtf has this got to do with the price of eggs- and if he tipped 10 mates its totally irrelevant - please stick to the actual point that posters are making and if you dont have a comment on the actual subject rather dont post because you obviously havnt read the point we are trying to put accross
