hibs..i am not interested by any conspiracy.....but dont even think for 1 minute because it started 9/2...it wasn't fancied....just had a discussion with 1 of the guys on the forum...and told him to be very wary of claimed horses...because this is done by bookies....and in my book doesn't even weigh 1 on the rickter (excuse the spelling)..concerning if it fancied strong because it was claimed.....can i tell u hibs that i saw tickets to the value of R 568 000 ON EMOTIFF....AND MINE ISN'T EVEN IN IT....and a few others who i know personally backed this horse....so price at the moment holds no relevance to the well being at the moment

I think when the prime purpose of a sport is to achieve an attainable goal e.g. Rugby = various championships and cups, Soccer = winning titles and trophies and it's prime source of income is corporates buying a team or owners owning a club and paying a salary the outcome is a bit different. Don't get me wrong, I am not naive in the fact that match fixing does indeed take place.

But in a sport where it's main funding is from the tote and betting into pools where commissions are taken out and used for the funding of stakes and running of the sport, HELL YEAH it needs to be more transparent!!

@BY001 i understand your frustration, but i think, as a trainer, Craig, is the wrong person to be pointing your frustration at or any other member of this site as only the Stipes can answer your question as per the rule book...

just to humour me, please try this on the w-end.

rent a truck with a 6 foot high bed
get a trusted mate to drive it on a long stretch of grass
buy yourself all the protective clothing you want
stand up on the back of the truck
get your trusted mate to floor it to 60km/h
once you are balanced and travelling at 60km/h...
try to JUMP OFF!!!

i can tell you from MANY experiences that it is much easier to jump out of a plane than to jump off a horse...

for those that ask why we battle to finish rain affected meetings, the next time you are caught in the rain, try driving directly behind another car on a muddy road with your wipers off. at 60km/h of course.

this is the only way that i can explain in a way that most could understand. just a thought...

not sure but strange how it happened to be yesterday on a serious money horse that the bookies were standing for absolute rockets
